M25 | Essex | Clockwise | Vehicle Fire | Road Closed East of England
Severe - The M25 is closed clockwise between J27 (M11) and J28 (Brentwood) due to a severe HGV vehicle fire which is being attended by Essex Fire and Rescue Service. A diversion is available and M25 clockwise traffic approaching J27 should follow the Hollow Triangle symbol which takes traffic southbound on the M11 to the A406 north circular road, proceeding onto the A406 clockwise to then join the A12 eastbound at Redbridge to return to the M25 at J28. M11 southbound traffic should also follow this route. Wider strategic traffic heading south for M25 and routes bound for Gatwick and coastal areas may wish to consider using the M25 anti-clockwise route.Customers should allow extra time for their journeys.Last updated on: 20/01/2017 08:15 (#2017-01-20 08:15:19)
M25 (RM4) (Havering)
Hazard(s) - [M25] M25 (RM4) (Both Directions) between J27 (M11) and J28 (A12) - The motorway is closed clockwise due to a HGV vehicle fire. Anti- clockwise has now reopened. Expect an increase in traffic on the A406 in the Redbridge, Ilford and Barking areas, the Woolwich Ferry and Blackwall Tunnel. (#148830)
Clockwise tailbacks are reaching beyond J26 (Waltham Abbey), anti-clockwise residual queues are to J29 (A127). Resulting delays southbound M11 which is currently slow from J5. A406 is slower than usual southbound between Charlie Browns Interchange and Ilford. A127 Westbound is slow from Hall Lane.
